Tennis Frequently Asked Questions

How many courts do you have?

We have four lighted hard surface courts adjacent to the golf and conference center, sometimes referred to as the 'upper' courts. There are four more courts nearby (the 'lower' courts). These 'lower' courts are city courts and are free and open to the public on a first come, first served basis.

What amenities do you have?

We have a clubhouse adjacent to the upper courts. The clubhouse will soon have a pro shop with equipment, food, and beverages. There is water available on the courts. There are restrooms in the clubhouse.

Do I have to be a member to play at Tega Cay Tennis?

No. The four courts adjacent to the golf club (the 'upper' courts) are free to members. Non-members pay a guest fee of $5 per match.

What is the cost?

Tennis membership for Tega Cay residents is $150 per person per year, due each January. Family memberships are $280 per year for Tega Cay residents. Should I reserve a court before playing?

Yes. You can reserve one of the four upper courts at Tega Cay at www.reservemycourt.com You must be a member to use this free service. Please contact the clubhouse if you have questions (803) 835-0530.

What is TCTA?

TCTA is Tega Cay Tennis Association. All tennis members at TCGC are automatically members of TCTA. A portion of the tennis club dues goes toward the TCTA budget for hosting socials and other member activities throughout the year. TCTA has a board of directors and a website. What is a Tennis Ambassador?

TCGC has a USTA Tennis Ambassador, Francine Goodman. Francine serves as a liaison between the United States Tennis Association and Tega Cay Tennis. She stays informed of all USTA and other tennis programs, tournaments and events in our area. Francine also provides feedback to the USTA about player suggestions and requests.
